Sitting at anchor off the coast of Port Beach in Fremantle, Western Australia with its crew of trainees ready to unfurl its 16 sails, the STS Leeuwin II is Australia’s largest sail-training tall ship: a three-masted 1850’s-style barquentine launched in 1986.
